The wedding was awesome. So much fun to be with family and new friends, hacking at a roast pig and drinking wine and being drunkenly embraced by my cousin (pseudo-brother) who apologized for being an annoying 13-year-old, and promised to make it up to me by lifting heavy things whenever I asked. I snuck sugar cubes to the little ones to bribe their affections. I poured champagne and ate raspberry buttercream cupcakes.
So I'm not regretful that I let go and partied to the full extent of my ability.
Of course, I am now back where I started in the weight department.
It happens.
Time to climb back on the wagon.

Sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend!! I am a firm believer in enjoying those special occasions without guilt.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the weight is concerned, most of that is just food in your body. A couple of days on the wagon and it will be gone. :)
Here's hoping! I'm off to take the crazy pup out for a nice long stroll...
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great time! I'm always one for dancing the dance...but I always know I have to pay the band!
ReplyDeleteJust remember, quick on...quick off! This weekends "stuff" will be off before you know it!
And even though you are back to the beginning--at least it's not ABOVE where you were! It's all even and sometimes that's quite the accomplishment in my book!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutly! I look at weightloss like climbing a mountain -- there are times when you're going to slide down a little bit, but just grab hold where you can and start again. :)
Is it wrong the only thing I got out of this post is a craving for cupcakes? ;)
ReplyDeleteIf cupcakes are wrong, I don't want to be right.
ReplyDeleteLOL carrie... me too ;)
ReplyDeleteI was totally thinking "mmm raspberry buttercream.."
