distraction.

I became distracted yesterday with a home improvement project, and didn't do a daily recap post. My distraction, however, also meant that I didn't think about food all day. I didn't boredom snack. And I lifted and heaved and squatted and pushed heavy things. And my body feels wonderfully used today.

My weight is on the decline. I shall be holding my breath and hoping it continues.

Update on the job saga:

Job A didn't come through BUT the director wrote me the absolute nicest rejection letter I've ever received. She asked to show my resume around, offered to be a reference, and I think she sincerely would like to hire me in the future. I've never felt so good about a job I didn't get.

I'm going in for round three of interviews for Job B. Man, I hope the hoops are worth it.

  1. I love it when I'm too busy to think about food.

Sorry about the job, and good luck on the other one!

  2. OH sorry! But it sounds like it has led to connection that may end up with better job possibilities down the road.

Word to that!! And yay on the praises on the non-job. I love it when that happens.

  4. I don't think I've ever even gotten a rejection letter. So to get such a nice one says a great deal about you. A great job is going to come through for you.

  5. Thanks guys! I didn't put this in the post, because it felt to google-able and now I'm a paranoid freak, BUT she even invited me to join her to set up a library in a country that rhymes with Mepal.. ahem, close to Tibet... :) Still mulling that one over...
